Poppy flowers adorn graves as a symbol of eternal sleep. A common symbol of memorial or remembrance, for me poppies remind me of my parents. While my mom was sick and couldn’t go outside, my dad would take pictures on a digital camera of the poppies blooming in our front yard so she could still see them. A small act of love during a really hard time. A memory and a memorial.
